Another fabulous use for PLR content is using it to help build back links to your website or blog. A “back link” is defined as a link leading from another website to yours. Search engines see those back links as indications that your website is relevant for the search terms.
The more back links you have and the better optimized your site is, the more weight your site is given for the keywords you are trying to rank highly for. There is a little more to the process than that, but back links definitely play an important role in your website’s rank.
As you may know, you are not dependent upon other people to create those links back to your site; you can create many of them yourself. Many marketers use article marketing as a good way to create back links, and you can use PLR content in a similar way to achieve the same objective.
There are a few ways to do this:
—-Submit to Article Directories
Many article directories do not allow PLR content, but you can easily rewrite PLR articles so they are completely unique and submit them to directories.
Rewriting PLR is easy; go through the article starting with the title and working sentence by sentence, rewriting it in your own words. For example, this sentence: “PLR content can be submitted to article directories as long as you rewrite it to be unique” can be rewritten like this: “To use PLR articles on article directory sites, you will first need to alter it so it is completely unique.”
—-Create New Blogs
You can use these same articles (or even unaltered PLR content) to create new niche blogs that link back to your main blog or website. Blogger, WordPress, and LiveJournal are all good sites for creating free blogs. For best results, try posting just one new article per day, rather than loading a ton of content in one day and never posting again. Make the blogs as active as you can, and you can even build some back links to them to help them rank higher and give more weight to the links they have pointing to your own site.
Some forums have an article section where you can submit your rewritten articles, and some even allow you to create a blog using their forum software. All great places for building more back links!
